Get to the airport to find out our flight to Dallas and then to Omaha is canceled.  Ugh.  Not to worry.  Google maps says it will take us 6 hours and 30 minutes to drive.  I rent company car from National and Steve and I are on the road by 1:45pm in our Red Barchetta (actually a Charger but better for the story).

Suddenly ahead of me
Across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air car
Shoots towards me, two lanes wide
He spins around with shrieking tires

To pull us over for speeding.

Young officer probably 25ish comes to the window and says we were doing 80.  I gave him my license apologized, said not from around here and just trying to figure out how to get to Lincoln.  Steve tells the policeman that we are going to see Rush, he seems interested and knows who they are.  Sure enough the guy lets us go with a (Distant Early) Warning, and we are back on the way.

We finally arrive in Lincoln about 9pm and stop by the arena to take a picture.  Gonna lay low tonight to get ready for tomorrow.
